SPAM emails that Comcast's Spam filter won't stop

Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but looks like the closest option.  Been receiving spam emails with random FROMs, subjectlines and just an image in the body.  My spam filter is on but it won't catch these.  Any ideas how to stop them?  Here's the source:

Re: SPAM emails that Comcast's Spam filter won't stop

I have been getting the exact same spam from the same address every day for at least a month or more.  I have my spam filter on and  I now have over 40 specific email filters that still let it get through.  It is also new subjects all the time, so I just keep adding filters with new words every day.  I don't know how to make them stop either.  I don't want to have to give up my email address.  I wish I could help.  I will try to contact comcast and see what they can do.

Spammers keep making minor changes to their messages in order to try and get around the filters.  You will find this of interest--------------------

Re: SPAM emails that Comcast's Spam filter won't stop

I know it has been a while since you asked for a sample, but I too have been receiving these type of spam mails for weeks, if not months, and have enacted numerous filters but they keep getting thru - here is the header data from the latest one that just arrived in my inbox today, 8/30/2016 -

Re: SPAM emails that Comcast's Spam filter won't stop

I get atleast 6 of these types of PHISH / MALWARE emails daily, the "From" address ends in ".ro" (Romania) and the "X-Comcast-SMTP-Spoor:" points to a URL ending in "http://...............nl" (Netherlands). My filters haven't been successful since the senders keep changing from From, Spoor, subject, etc.  Below are two samples of these emails from today.  Is the Base64-encoded stuff malware code? How can I filter these out (or avoid getting them at all) in my Comcast web-based email?

Re: SPAM emails that Comcast's Spam filter won't stop

Since they always come from Romania, did you try using a filter to block the entire top level domain?  Try with a wild card like this---------- *.ro  At least at first, direct them to the Spam folder just to see if the filter is working.

Re: SPAM emails that Comcast's Spam filter won't stop

I have been having the same issue. I tried filtering emails "FROM" on "*.ro" (without the quotes) to go to the junk folder. This did absolutely nothing and it misses every email. The only way I found to catch some of them is to filter by the description of the from address, such as on text like "Loan" and "SUV".

Am I using the wildcard wrong? Or should I have used that wildcard on something other than FROM?

Thanks!

Try taking a look at this to see if you want to try something different-----------------------

Re: SPAM emails that Comcast's Spam filter won't stop

@Latoque and Sean10,

Yes I too have tried filtering with wildcards (same as Sean10) but that doesn't put the unending stream of those "*.ro" emails in Spam folder. And the senders encode the Subject line with a characterset ("=?EUC-KR?Q?" I guess) so "loan", "SUV" etc. in standard characters doesn't work either. I can spot these obnoxious emails (I NEVER open them) in Inbox so I needn't use Search.  I manually move them to Spam and then delete, in hopes that someday Comcast will wise up and filter or block them.

Any other ideas?
