SMPT outgoing email

My new phone is asking for the outgoing SMPT password and I don't remember it. How do I reset it?

It is the same password as the email or webmail login 

 

You can change it for an email account of the account by going to the link below.  But you need the primary account password to get there.

IF using POP servers, your settings are:

Outgoing server: smtp.comcast.net

Outgoing Port is 465 with SSL on

Incoming server: mail.comcast.net

Incoming Port is 995 with SSL on

This server requires authentication must be checked (server tab)

Do not check SPA ( secure password authentication)



Need Email Help? Please post the following information in your post.
Do you use XfinityConnect? The Full or Lite version?
Do you use an email client? Which one? (Eg; Windows Live mail, Outlook, a smartphone etc.)
Which browser/version do you use? And- have you cleared your browser cache?
Which operating system? XP, Vista, Windows 7, Mac OS X
Details of the problem you are having.
