Is there any way to retireve emails that have been sent to trash and are now gone?

If you are using the web interface, right click the trash folder and choose to recover emails.

You can right-click on the Trash folder and then on "Recover Deleted Items" to see if they are still in there.  However, that feature is only supposed to go back two weeks, although it may go longer-------it's not consistent.  If you spot the message you are looking for, select it in the list and then click on the little folder icon at the top of the window to move it back to some other folder.
