Recently unable to access Comcast webmail using Internet Explorer 11 and Microsoft Edge...worked until about 4-6 weeks ago

For the past several weeks, I've been having a problem accessing Comcast webmail using both Internet Explorer 11 and Microsoft Edge (OS: Windows 10, if that makes a difference).  NOTE: I'm able to access all other pages on Comcast website using both Internet Explorer 11 and Microsoft Edge.  NOTE #2: I'm able to access Comcast webmail using Firefox, Chrome, and Opera.  Problem: (In Internet Explorer 11 and Microsoft Edge) I start out on http://my.xfinity.com then click on Mail (envelope icon) in upper right corner of page. Instead of going to webmail, it takes me back to http://my.xfinity.com.

 

Any assistance is greatly appreciated!!

Do you have Compatibility View enabled in IE-11?  You will find it under Tools.  In Edge, did you try clearing cache and browsing history?  My laptop is Windows 10 and I'm not having the issue you described with either browser.

Thanks for your quick reply. By the way, my Windows 10 (Home) is also installed on laptop: HP Pavilion m6-1035dx.

 

Did the following, per your instructions:

 

IE 11:

 

* Added xfinity.com to list in Compatibility View.

 

* Closed & re-opened IE 11.

 

* Logged in to xfinity.com

 

* Clicked on Mail icon. After clicking on icon, I just noticed today (4 August), in Address Bar url changes from (in quick succession):

 

http://my.xfinity.com/?cid=cust, to
http://login.comcast.net/???? (couldn't read fast enough to get rest of url), to
https://web.mail.comcast.net/zimbra/mail?app=mail, and finally back to
http://my.xfinity.com/?cid=cust

 

(Took a lot of tries to get above url info)

 

Just tried repeatedly clicking on the Mail icon several times, it stopped on url:

 

https://web.mail.comcast.net/zimbra/mail?app=mail

 

and gave error message:

 

This page can’t be displayed

 

•Make sure the web address https://web.mail.comcast.net is correct.
•Look for the page with your search engine.
•Refresh the page in a few minutes.

 

(And a radio button): Fix connection problems

Microsoft Edge:

 

* Cleared cache & browsing history.

 

* Closed & re-opened Microsoft Edge

 

* Logged in to xfinity.com

 

* Similar deal with Edge:

 

After clicking on Mail icon, in Address Bar url changes from (in quick succession):

 

http://my.xfinity.com/?cid=xfinityconnecttocomcastnet, to
web.mail.comcast.net/?????? (couldn't read fast enough to get rest of url), to
http://login.comcast.net/???? (couldn't read fast enough to get rest of url), and finally back to
http://my.xfinity.com/?cid=xfinityconnecttocomcastnet

 

* Did same procedure as with IE11, repeatedly clicked on Mail icon several times. it stopped on url:

 

https://xfinityconnect.mail.comcast.net/?cima.ticket=U0dUAQEAABSiowsTbQOKjMX2o2cX0V3SzF_ONxCycA8CX14...

 

and gave error message:

 

Hmm, we can't reach this page.

 

Try this


•Make sure you’ve got the right web address: https://xfinityconnect.mail.comcast.net
•Refresh the page
•Search for what you want
