I've noticed several times in the past couple of weeks or so that Comcast seems to just be deleting some of my emails as well and they are not going to a Spam or Junk folder, its just deleting them as they come in and they are just completely disappearing.  The ones I've been expecting are important.  I check my settings as suggested above, one box was checked and i've unchecked it.  Hope that helps - but there is the funny past. One of the emails (from my health insurance company) managed to make it to my mobile phone, but was deleted on both my desktop and my iPad.  Where the heck are these emails going and can we get them back since some of these I'm sure I didn't know they were coming in the first place? 


I use Thunderbird on my PC, Google is my browser.  Windows 10 is my desktop OS

Is the behavior the same for both email client (your Thundrebird) and a browser version?

Yes it was, I believe I have solved it though.  I did some digging around in Thunderbird and found an email junk filter I didn't know was there.  All has been well.
