I don't use comcast email.  How do I change the "Preferred contact email address" to one I use?

Log into your account online and goto:  https://customer.xfinity.com/Secure/UserSettings/

At the botom of that section you will find Contact Emails

Enter your non-Comcast email address and select it as preferred.


The Support Forums are "public" forums and you should not post identifiable information - (full name, account number, address, phone numbers & email addresses).  Users of these forums are Comcast customers, the same as you & me and volunteer their time to assist with the issues and/or problems that you may be experiencing. Comcast Official Employees (OE) are identified with RED lettered User Names. Comcast Appointed Experts are identified with GREEN lettered User Names.

If you don't check your Comcast email it's a good idea to forward it to an address you do check. Once in a long while they send out stuff that's actually important. You can set up forwarding by logging in to https://customer.xfinity.com/Secure/UserSettings/ with your Primary Comcast user ID.
