POP vs IMAP email preferences

I hope that Comcast does not require us to go to IMAP email I have that for my work email and I don't care for it. I prefer POP so I can have the ability to choose which emails I keep for each device. For instance, I keep the alerts for my bills and financial stuff on my home PC while I keep my travel alerts and iteneraries on my iPhone. With IMAP, I would have to clutter one to keep emails on the other. It is a bit more work but well worth the trouble. In addition, and I am not sure if this is a result of the hosting that my work uses but when I delete on my iPhone, it does not delete on my Laptop. It just crosses out the emails on the Laptop and I still have to manually delete them. Just my opinion.

Re: POP vs IMAP email preferences

Comcast will still function with POP3.  It's just that they recommend IMAP if you access the same account across multiple devices.
