Outlook for Mac--Comcast Email Setup

Outlook for Mac--Comcast Email Setup

I just installed Office 365 for Mac, including Outlook for Mac (version 15.29). Trying to get my Comcast.net email to work with Outlook has been a bit of a challenge, and I'm not sure what I'm missing. I've set up a gmail and outlook account I use with no problem, and those both identify by their respective platform name as a folder within the inbox section.

Having entered my Comcast account information, the label for my Comcast account is "on my computer," and unlike my gmail account, which shows the subfolders I've created on that account, my Comcast.net subfoders aren't showing. When I look at my accounts preferences, I'm seeing a green indicator for gmail and Outlook but not one for Comcast. It appears I am able to send emails successfully, but not receive any emails (I've tested from multipe devices and email accounts).

Is there a current guide to how to set up Comcast.net email on Outlook for Mac?

Many thanks, and happy new year!

Re: Outlook for Mac--Comcast Email Setup

I use a Mac but not Outlook. Did you go through these steps even though the pictures are for Windows?

I would try deleting the Outlook connection to Comcast and starting over. I think you want to folders to be set up like the gmail ones rather than "On My Computer".

You might want to read through this page from Microsoft. Be sure to choose IMAP for your Comcast mail just as you did for gmail.
