Outlook email issue - password

Hello there,

I have installed Outlook 2016 on my computer.  Last week, I had to change my password for my email account ( in Outlook.com). I had two emails linked to it, ( one outlook.com , and the other one with a different domain- which works fine).  My computer kept showing a pop-up to enter the password for the server.   Microsoft told me , it was a server issue and to contact my provider. ( I can access Outlook.com from my web app).  My router and all settings are working correctly, is it possible that the password was changed?  I would rather not uninstall and reinstall it if possible

  • You use Outlook 2016
  • You have an Outlook.com email account [formerly hotmail.com]
  • You changed your password for your Outlook.com email account
  • Did you change the password for your Outlook.com email address in Outlook 2016, too?  Or, this account is working fine.

 

  • You use Outlook 2016
  • You have an Outlook.com email account
  • You are having your comcast.net email account downloaded in Outlook.com, then to Outlook 2016
  • You had to change your comcast.net email password
  • You're getting a password request for your comcast.net email account
  • Did you change your comcast.net password at Outlook.com and Outlook 2016?

 

  • Your personal domain email account has no problems.

Sorry this is late.   I did fix my problem.  I had two-factor authentication enabled and that was the issue. I disabled to make the connection.    Everything is working fine.
