Outbound e-mail fails with error message: 421 resomta-po-12v.sys.co

I having been a problem with Outlook mail and also with Comcast mail on iphone where is sends sometimes and fails other times. Works fine when using Comcast web mail, but want to use Outlook and iphone as mail apps.

I tried to set up comast mail on Outlook 2016 on a new computer using the settings from https://customer.xfinity.com/help-and-support/internet/configure-outlook-2013-email, and i get this error message when Outlook tries to send a test message:

The server responded: 421 resomta-po-12v.sys.co

Is there a fix for this? Thank you.

I also am suddenly having issues sending email from apple devices. Browser email still works normally.
