On the home page I see 6 new emails but when I open the email page there an no new emails. Why?

When I go to the home page, I see the red 6, indicating 6 new emails. When I open my email page, there no new emails.

Why does this happen and it does frequently.

Try refreshing the home page to see if the number goes away.  The email counter is one of the wonkier features in Comcast email.  I get the same thing, and I certainly wouldn't rely on it to be accurate at any given moment.
