Not Our Customer, but yes, I am, actually

Lately when I attempt to send e-mail top my comcast e-mail address (from a non-comcast e-mail I have at work) it bounces back, with the error message




This is a delivery failure notification message indicating that an email you addressed to email address :

-- [my actual e-mail address]@comcast.net


with the subject:

-- Test Message


could not be delivered. The problem appears to be :

-- Recipient email address is possibly incorrect


Additional information follows :

-- 5.1.1 Not our Customer


This condition occurred after 0 attempt(s) to deliver over a period of 0 hour(s).


If you sent the email to multiple recipients, you will receive one of these messages for each one which failed delivery,  otherwise they have been sent.




I have confirmed, however, that the e-maill address is correct.

So, does anybody have an idea what's happening here?  And, how can I fix it, or get it fixed?


I'd be grateful for any helpful suggestions.

Comcast Security Assurance should be able to help you with this. Call them at 1-888-565-4329 (from http://constantguard.comcast.net/dedicated-support/).

The first-line reps there are sometimes not so helpful. If so, be persistent, and keep at them until you get a satisfactory answer.
