No sync on emails with outlook 365

I recently upgraded to include telephone in my Comcast services.  I added a new Arris TG1682G.  My problem involves the server at Comcast not synchronizing my accounts with Outlook 365.  At least that is what the error message from Outlook tells us.  I am able to get it to work if I unplug the system, wait a minute or two, then let it reboot.  All emails are then upload to the correct accounts in Outlook. When I turn the computer on the next morning the same problem is readily evident.   Rebooting from the reset button in the back of the Arris does not produce the same positive results.  Calling Comcast has provided no relief.  They say it is Microsoft’s problem.  Help!
