New to comcast

My wife has e-mail with ATT.net.   We are getting rid of AT&T and having comcast installed tommorrow.  Can the comcast tech save and move all y wifes folder and saved e-mails to the new comcast e-mail?

Re: New to comcast

I believe AT&T lets you keep your email account with them.  Call them to be sure. They might have to do something from their end to let her keep it.   If that is the case you don't have to rush around trying to do anything with it tomorrow.  How you migrate her AT&T email to Comcast will depend on whether or not she's using an email client or just the webmail.  AT&T email under the hood is actually a Yahoo account.  Also, there is no guarantee that the tech who shows up at your home knows much about the email.  I've encountered many Comcast employees who don't even use the Comcast email service, and know little about it.  You can ask a lot of folks in these forums who have tried to get email questions answered on the phone or in a chat session.  It really is a mixed bag.
