New Xfinity Email

Any idea why I can't see when I have a new email or why an alert won't sound anymore? Before Xfinity changed over to the "new" email system, I used to be able to see if I had a new email while I was in a different program (i.e., Facebook or Twitter) -- an alert would sound and I'd see a (1) at the top of the page.

Re: New Xfinity Email

The old format was provided by Zimbra, and they had the sound alert option.  The new format is from Appsuite, and AFAIK they do not have that feature.  You might be able to get it using a desktop email client.  I use Mac Mail  and it has that ability.

Re: New Xfinity Email

It's like one step forward, two steps back. Sick of everything that has to do with Comcast/Xfinity, tired of paying top dollar for inferior product...tired of seeing "special pricing/deals" for new customers when good paying customers don't get any breaks. Wish we had Fios or RCN or any other cable company where we live.
