My emails keep getting deleted!

My emails keep getting deleted!

Even with the preferences set to NEVER and spam set to 30 days my inbox e-mail get deleted. I have financial emails in there and nobody in India and figure it out. Im going to another e-mail provider because this is ridiculous and unreliable. Anyone having this kind of trouble??

Do you use anything other than webmail to access your email?  Like an email program, smartphone, etc?

No, I dont use anything. I just log on to Comcast e-mail directly, one day they are there, the next day thier gone. I could understand if the preferences were not set correctly but they are. Support was useless.

I am having the same problem regardless of whether I am in the US or India. I called Comcast and they said to set the Email deletion schedule in preferences to "never" which I did and no result. Still the same problem. What a lousy system - I think I will change my email provider now.

The "Email Deletion Schedule" settings in Xfinity Connect only control how often the system removes old messages. The settings do not protect messages from being removed by email programs or mobile devices.

 

Comcast Security Assurance might be able to help identify the cause of problem. Call them at 1-888-565-4329 (from http://constantguard.comcast.net/dedicated-support/). Note that this is NOT the general customer service number.

The first-line reps at CSA are sometimes not very helpful. If so, be persistent, and keep at them until you get a satisfactory answer.
