Missing emails

All emails between 7/23/15 and 7/16/14 have suddenly disappeared. What happened and how can I retrieve them? I did not delete them.

Help???  About 6 weeks ago most of my inbox just disappeared.  Today 8/2, all email prior to July 27 are gone.  Is the solution to dump Comcast?  My settings are correct and I didn't delete the emails.

All-

 

Do you use any other email programs or devices such as a smartphone or tablet?

 

have you checked your EMAIL DELETION SCHEDULE?

To do:

Open thecXC Inbox and click on Preferences

Next click on the a Email icon

A window opens showing you your email settings

Scroll down to the email deletion schedule and open it.

looknat the number of days each Folder is set to when it AUTOMATICALLY deletes all email from the Folders.  Make any changes you wish to make.

 

Does that explain the missing email?

 

IF YIU USE TYE FULL VERSION OF XC:

yiu can try to recover deleted emails.  To do:

 

RIGHT CLICK on thevTrash Folder

click on 'Recover deleted email messages

A new window opens showing the most recent deleted email....Are any of the missing emails there?

 

If they are,highlight the email, then click on the small green arrow at the top of the window.

This will open another window where yiu can then move the message back to your Inbox.
