Linking two Comcast email accounts

Linking two Comcast email accounts

I used to be able to see both my Primary and Secondary email accounts when I logged into my Primary email (both emails would show up on the left side of the screen).  Today, I received an error message that said that the emails on my secondary account would not update until I fixed a "pop" error.  So I deleted the Secondary account from the Preferences/Add Account screen.  Now I can't add it back again.

Here are the steps I took when trying to add it:

Went to - xfinity.com/email preferences

Email Accounts

Edit

Add Account

Selected "Other"

Account Name - Secondary

Username - Typed in my email

Password - Typed in my password

Email Address - Typed in my email

Selected - POP3

Mail Server - Typed in pop.comcast.net (also tried mail.comcast.net)

Port is set to 995

I "chatted" with ad Xfinity rep and she said that viewing the two email accounts was not possible.  I don't understand why if I was able to view them until today.  Did Comcast change something to make this impossible or am I doing something wrong when trying to Add Account?

Where it asks for "username", just put in the ID, and not the @comcast.net part.  I just tried it and it worked OK for me with one of my secondary accounts.  I used mail.comcast.net

Thank you so much - it worked!!

Re: Linking two Comcast email accounts

Good for you.  This is a finicky feature however.  While it works OK with Comcast accounts, I have been unable to set up my Yahoo or MSN accounts in it.  No matter what combination of names, passwords etc I try, it just won't work.  I was able to use my Gmail account in it though.

Just sayin
