How do you send an email to a large copy list?

From the Inbox page click on Address Book.  When you get to the landing page look for "Add Group" in the left pane.  Create the goup and then add the names to it you want.  The sending limits for Comcast are found here----------------

I have the groups in my address file. The groups are about150 email addresses each. I was told that with X1xfinity myspeed would increase to about 150 - 250 and that I wouldbe able to send an email to a large list of email custumers. Right now doing a speed test I get about 30 for downloads. So I guess the question is "how do I get the increased download speed needed to send the large list email"?

It's nothing to do with download speeds.  In a residential account you can only send to a maximum of 100 contacts per email, and not more than 1000 in a day.  If you need to send more than that you need to look into a business class account.

I was told that to be able to send an email to more than 100 people I would be able to upgrade to X1infinity which has a larger more powerful modem and increased download speeds - at least 3 people at Comcast told me this. Also for the increased capability the computer should be attached directly with an ethernet connection.  For some reason my system is not delivering the increased speed.

I don't know who told you this stuff.  The email sending limits on a residential account have nothing remotely to do with your modem, or download speeds or any of the rest of it.  It has nothing to do with X1.  Comcast doesn't write their own email program. That is provided by a company called Zimbra.  And the limits I posted upthread apply to you if you have a residential account.  Your Comcast email account is webmail, and the same parameters apply to it no matter what other Comcast/Xfinity services you might have, unless you have a business class account.
