Internet Security Warning

Just rebuilt this laptop and re-installed Outlook 2003 using settings from 2nd laptop (and confirmed from Forum).

POP3.comcast.net usng port 995

SMTP.comcast.net using port 465

All functions pass when I [Test  Account Settings] and I receive the Test email.

However, I now receive the following (aggravating) message:

 

Internet Security Warning

The server you are connected to is using a security certificate

that could not be verified.

The certificate's CN name does not match the passed value.

Do you want to continue using this server?

 

I check [Yes] and mail is sent and received but Outlook no longer does its automatic Send/Receive (set at 10 minutes) which is frustrating as I have to remember to click [Send/Receive..] and respond to this message.

 

There must be something I've missed so I am hoping there's help out there!

(Comcast Support wasted almost two hours last night and didn't even get close!!)

Thanks Bruce!

 

I had already done that but forgot to "recall" my question.

 

The irony is that I have two Windows 10 laptops - both with Outlook 2003 and the old one works with POP# and the newer one wouldn't!!

But I'm good now.
