IMAP Contacts Mailbox

IMAP Contacts Mailbox

I'm having trouble with my POP mac mail on my MacBook Pro, using Safari, El Capitan, so I created an IMAP account until I can get the POP acount fixed. My problem is that there are two contacts in the mailbox-- one is mine created in 2009, and the other is a contact I no longer use-- also created in 2009. I can't delete either one! Every time I try, they show up again. Help, please.

You need to clarify-----what do you mean by "contacts in the mailbox"?

When I created the IMAP account, a mailbox called "Contacts" appeared. There are two contacts inside the mailbox, and I can't delete them.

Disable the POP3 account and then try deleting the contacts from the IMAP version.  See if that does it.  I have the same "Contacts" mailbox and I can delete OK.

I deleted the POP3 account, but still can't delete the template.
