How are you signing into the account?  Are you getting to the Xfinity homepage?  Scrol down the homepage, and in the left pane click on the blue link "Find My Username".  That will let you find the user ID, which should be the part of the email address to the left of the @ symbol.

Go to the xfinity.comcast.net page, sign in, and click on Email.

 

If you don't know what your email address and password are, you'll need to call Comcast.

Not necessarily. From their home internet connection, as suggested above, they can recover their user IDs at https://login.comcast.net/myaccount/lookup. Those pages will also attempt to assist with password recovery if needed.

 

Only if the user needs the ID info while not on their home connection, or if password recovery fails, would they need to subject themselves to the horrors of Comcast's Customer Service.
