I cannot send e-mail without getting the message mail.SEND_FAILURE message.

I have been experiencing this problem for over a week now of not being able to send email form Xfinity email service. The error message that is being displayed is: "Could not send message:mail.SEND_FAILURE". I have sent countless error reports to "whomever" reviews Comcast's error logs but still have not heard any response. Not only I'm unable to send email through email online but also I am unable to use Outlook 2010 it is not affecting my ability to receive email only when sending email. Is there a solution to this problem?

 

Current system OS: Windows 7

Current anti-virus: Bitdefender 2015

Current Browser: I.E.11

Thank you for contacting me. It appears this morning that I am able to send email again. I do not know what the fix you guys implemented or resolved but...thank you.

Hello Art20,

 

We are sorry for the inconvenience. You facing the problem only from the outlook client? or also from xfinity connect webmail?

 

It seems you have recently changed the password.  Could you please make sure that you have the new password set for SMTP AUTH on the outlook client?  Please let us know if you are still facing the problem after the change.
