How to have unwanted e mails automatically rejected

My wife can no longer do e mail but she gets literally hundreds of them every day, mostly ads. I have finally cleared out over 40,000 inbox items but need to know how to keep them from building up again. I have the auto delete set at 30 days (shortest possible) but this will still allow several thousand to accumulate unless I do something.

You have been immensely helpful with this project. Thank you very much.

Re: How to have unwanted e mails automatically rejected

Have you checked to see if her Spam filtering is enabled?  In her account, at the top of the page go to My Account and sign in again.  Then click on the Email Settings tab, and the Spam filter will be the first item in the list.  If it's on it will show green.  If not you need to turn it on.

Why can't she "do email"?
