How do I save my files from Xfinity to my computer?

I want to save my files that I have on the Xfinity web site to my computer so that I can put them on a CD for storage.  I don't know how to do this.

What files are you referring to?  Do you mean you want to save some emails to your pc or what?  If you want to save emails, you need to enable the account in an email client like Outlook, Thunderbird, Windows Live Mail or some other.

I want to save emails.  When I "moved" them, I thought  I was saving them.  But they aren't saved to my computer.

Now I don't know how to enable the account in an email client.  Does gmail count as a client?

Gmail has some features that mimic a client, but it's not quite the same.  It doesn't save anything to your computer.  You need to enable the account in a real, desktop client like Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, Windows Live Mail, Mac Mail or something like that.  Thunderbird and Windows Live Mail are both free downloads.  Here's the link for Thunderbird------------------
