How do I delete emails from my phone, and keep them from reappearing when my phone brings in the next batch of email updates?

How do I delete emails from my phone, and keep them from reappearing when my phone brings in the next batch of email updates?

I have a Samsung Galaxy 5 and I receive my emails on my home computer and my phone at the same time. I would like to be able to delete emails from my phone and my home computer at the same time.

** Currently, when I delete emails from my home computer, it deletes my messages from my phone, too.  I like that.

BUT, when I delete messages from my phone, the messages remain on my home computer -- and worse yet -- the next time my phone updates my emails, it brings those same emails back onto my phone.

Does anyone know of settings I can choose that will make it so I can permanently delete emails from my phone or my computer, whenever I'd like?

Thank you!  Smiley Wink

It sounds like you have either the phone or the computer set up using POP3.  If that is the case, and you have set it to keep a copy on the server, it would explain why the messages keep coming back.  So you need to make sure both devices have the account set up using IMAP, and then everything should be synced.
