Help - Boxes to Select Messages have disappeared

The square boxes used to select messages to mark as read/unread or to delete have disappeared.  I am having to delete hundreds of messages one at a time.  How do I get the boxes back?

First:

 

Are you using Xfinity from Comcast?  Full or Lite version?

Have you cleared your browser cache?  If not, do so.

Which browser are you using?  And which version?

Do you use an email client? Which one? (Eg; Windows Live mail, Outlook, a smartphone etc.)
Which browser/version do you use? And- have you cleared your browser cache?
Which operating system? XP, Vista, Windows 7, Mac OS X
Details of the problem you are having.

I don't really know if this answers your questions or even if its related to my question:

 

Browser cache cleared

Using window 7 home premium

Xfinity by comcast

Not using any other email client

When viewing a list of messages there used to be blanck boxes to the side of each one.  The boxes are used to select multiple messages to trash, move, etc.  Those boxes are gone.   How do I get them back?

You did not tell me which browser or version of browser you are using?

IF USING Internet Explorer Version 10 or11, make sure you have Compatibility View enabled. Click on Tools, the click on Compatibility View to enable. Close, re-open your browser, then go back to XC.

Do you see an arrow on the top left side of the Inbox? Click there to show yourcFolders again. You probably accidentally closed them.

To see which version of XC you are using:
Open the Inbox and click on Prferences. Now click on the General icon. A window will open showing which version you are currently using. Which one is it please?

Browser is Mozilla Firefox

As Carole suggested-------try clearing out your cache/browsing history in Firefox, then close it out and re-start it in a fresh session.  See if the boxes reappear.

 

CCCarole------I think the poster is referring to the little checkboxes next to each email in the list, not the folders.

Yes, that is correct.  Little square boxes next to each email in the list, not folders
