Is there a fast, easy way to delete all your email messages?

Can I remove the email account and then add it back with the same email address?

Re: Email

If you are still on the old email format----------

From the Inbox page, go to Preferences>>>>>General>>>>>Versions. Full is the default. Click on Lite to set it. It will save automatically. Go back to Email. In the Folders pane to the left, click on "Edit". Then you will see the checkbox to clean out the Inbox folder. Just keep in mind that you can't undo this operation. Once you do it, everything is gone permanently.

If you are on the new format, just right-click on any folder and you will see the option to empty it. It will say "Delete all messages." However, at the moment it might only delete a page at a time. Comcast is aware of this and supposedly is working on it.

I would not advise deleting the user ID in your situation------------------

When a user ID (that part of the email address to the left of the @ symbol) is changed or deleted, it is suspended for 90 days, and then released back into the pool of available IDs for any Comcast customer that wants to claim it.
