Email will not send

I am able to receive email but am not able to send email. It appears in my sent file without an error message.

What are you using for email?Xfinity a Connect, and/ or a different email program, smartphone, or tablet.

The settings should be:

Incoming server: mail.comcast.net

Port 995 with SSL ON


Port 465 with SSL ON

Under tgecserver tab:  THIS SERVER REQUIRES AUTHENTICATIIN must be checked

Do NOT check SPA (secure password AUTHENTICATIIN)


Need Email Help? Please post the following information in your post.
Do you use XfinityConnect? The Full or Lite version?
Do you use an email client? Which one? (Eg; Windows Live mail, Outlook, a smartphone etc.)
Which browser/version do you use? And- have you cleared your browser cache?
Which operating system? XP, Vista, Windows 7, Mac OS X
Details of the problem you are having.
