Email suddenly not available on iPhone 5

I've had my email on my iPhone for several years. Today, it won't get or send mail and I get a message that the user name or password are incorrect. I re-enterd my password several times and when that did not work, I deleted the account on my iPhone and tried to reinstall it. Now it won't reinstall and instead I get a message that "The connection to the server "imap.comcast.net" on port 993 timed out."  Can someone help me with reinstalling my email on my iPhone?
