Email and windows media player

Email and windows media player

At least 3-4 times a session while using Xfinity email, windows media player pops up on my email screen as a large black screen blocking my view. There is nothing on the media player's screen. I have to sign out from my emails and then go back to get rid of it. It may recur an hour later. How can I stop this? I am using windows 7.
