Has anyone else noticed since they changed the UI on the email that when you sort using FROM it does not display the senders in alphabetical order like it used to?  This morning I decided to clean up my email and did a sort on FROM.  The first item in my list was from a sender starting with M.  That was immediately followed by an entry from sender with J.  Then back to M and back to J. Then it had a number of emails with senders starting with A - all of which were in proper alphabetic order.  Then it suddenly switched to some emails with senders starting with F - only to then go back to A!   

 

I could go on and on but I think you get the idea.

 

I used to be a programmer - come on, it's a SORT!!!!!!  Why does this not work anymore????

This has been reported to Comcast.  If you look closely at the message list when using "From" as the criteria, you might find that it is indeed sorting alphabetically, but by the sender's email address instead of their names.

I also am very frustrated by the new sorting by email address and not the actual sender's name.  I have contacted Comcast directly back when the new email app was deployed and was told they were aware of the problem and is scheduled to fix the sorting issue.  So, it has been about 4 months since the updated email app was deployed and still sorting incorrectly.  I really wish the issue would be corrected as it makes managing emails very cumbersome and time consuming!  Hoping for a fix soon!
