Downloading old e-mail from the server to outlook

Downloading old e-mail from the server to outlook

I had five months of e-mail disappear from my outlook account.  They were not deleted or archived, and they are still on the server.  How can I get them to download anew from the server?

This used to work, but I haven't tried it in a while so I don't know if it still will, so do a quick 1 or 2 message test.

From the webmail Inbox, mark a read message as unread.  Then go to Outlook and try downloading the message.  If that works, you can do the same to the others in webmail, as long as they're in your Inbox.

Thank you for the suggestion, but it did not help at this time.

I do know that years ago I would accidentally download old messages, so it was definitely possible then.  I hope the capability is not gone!

Try re-creating the account in Outlook using IMAP.  When you do that, anything you have on the server should be duplicated in Outlook, including local folders.  If you need the settings they are here-----------------
