Desiganate email addresses as SPAM

I am using Comcast as my email account (was in Outlook and it suddenly stopped working, another story). Is there a way to make sure certain email addresses messages don't come through

I am tired of getting all these ads and extraneous emails from the same addresses everyday! In Outlook I could click them as junk once and they never showed up again.  Can Comcast do that?

I am still using XP as my windows program.

Outlook 2007 just stopped working

I use XP and Office 2007.  Several weeks ago my Outlook just stopped working.  It worked one night and the next day when I turned on my computer it wasn't working.  No incoming mail and outgoing mail would not work either. I have tried going through step by step the instructions from Microsoft and the instructions from Comcast (pretty much the same instructiosns) to no avail.  I finally just gave up and am now using Comcast email but I would like to go back to using Outlook.

Any ideas as to what i going on?
