Deleting Forwarding Preference

Deleting Forwarding Preference

Emails to my comcast alias go to a yahoo account and do not remain on the comcast server. I have checked through email preferences in my account and do not see that I have forwarding addresses engaged (for either alias or primary). FWIT, I’m sure I did set up a forwarding a couple of years ago. How can I get to the page that shows my forwarding preferences and then delete the forwarding order I must have given? (And please note: the usual forum suggestions of myaccount – users and preferences - http://xfinity.com/emailpreferences - email forwarding - enable email forwarding … shows nothing enabled.) Thanks much!

Re: Deleting Forwarding Preference

Problem is solved. My alias had another password; I thought one size password fit all and so used the primary acct password. Since finding my alias account, also found the forwarding preference and unchecked it. Take back most of my cusswords toward Comcast!

Re: Deleting Forwarding Preference

Go back into the Preferences list, and instead of Auto Forwarding, check to see if you have a filter set up to do the same thing.

Re: Deleting Forwarding Preference

Good try. But no. I opened all the preferences and since I haven't used comcast for email in the past anyway do not see anything enabled. Curious, though, for the general filter one it at first says 'you have a filter' then when I cllick on it there's nothing and the first place then says 'you have added no filters.' Sort of like there might be one hiding some place. Thanks though.
