Delays in receiving emails

Delays in receiving emails

I'm seeing significant delays in receiving some emails via my Comcast IMAP account. Behavior is the same on my PC and phone; the delay affects some emails but not others.


One time-sensitive email today was sent at 3:27 PM CDT but I did not receive it until 5:17 PM CDT.


1-800-XFINITY's advice was to wait 24 hours and call back if it's still a problem.


Below is a chunk of the source code showing the delay (I X'd out the IP addresses):
