Creating new Groups using existing contacts

Creating new Groups using existing contacts

I want to create a new "Group" consisting of contacts I have had in my Address Book for a long time.  

 

In the "help" section, the instructions are based on new contacts that appear in the "Collected Addresses".  This does not help at all since my older contacts do not appear there.  I cannot find a feature to designate a contact as being part of a new Group I created.

Try to drag and drop the contact from the list over to the group folder.
