Comcast email running on the Safari browser does not load properl

Comcast email running on the Safari browser does not load properl

I'm running Comcast email on my MacBook Pro iOS (Mac OSX 10.6.8).  The Comcast email client stall while loading and doesn't come up.  I've tried Comcast email on Chrome and it works fine.  Chrome isn't supported however.  Bing and Firefox are not available.  Any suggestions on what to do?

10.6, and the Safari that goes with it, is no longer supported. I still run it at work, and it is getting less useful every day. If that is the latest OS you can run, you may be stuck. Firefox is available and works for me.

Apple mail will work to get your Comcast mail. Have you tried that?

In addition to Mac Mail, if you have an account with Yahoo, Outlook.com or Gmail--------they are all capable of adding external accounts, inclluding Comcast email.  You could use the Comcast email account with their user interface.

As far as I can tell, all of the Apple updates are done.  Software updates are scheduled weekly.  I can't see what version of Mac OS is running (don't know exactly where to look).  However, the list of updates has Java loaded on 10.6.  I'm going to try Firefox and avoid Safari.  This is a work around and I would prefer to stay with all Mac OS X and its accompanying version of Safari.  This is my wife's laptop so staying standard is important for her use.

Tried to install Firefox, but the Mozilla site gave me a message that says that I need 10.9, 10.10, 10.11, or 10.12.  

How do I upgrade to one of these versions if it is not done through the Software Updates in System Preferences?

If those OS versions are not showing up in software update, your computer may be too old. Some older Macs top out at 10.6, Snow Leopard. 

Exactly what Mac do you have.
