Comcast e-mail inbox

Comcast e-mail inbox

When I open my Comcast e-mail I get a standard setup with columns of set widths and in a set order.  I prefer to re-size some of the columns.  In doing so, Comcast sometimes rearranges the columns and I have never figured out how to get back to the original order.  I have restored the original order by accident, but it is not something I can repeat?

Any ideas?

Re: Comcast e-mail inbox

You need to clarify what it is you are trying to do.  Are you saying that you want to change the width of the columns?  If so, are you using the view with the reading pane to the right?  Just what are you looking at?

Re: Comcast e-mail inbox

My first objective is to change column widths.  I can do that.  Sometimes, Comcast does more than that.  It changes the location of the columns.  I want to know how to get them back to their original locations.

Are these the columns you are talking about?-----------------------

--------like From, Size, Subject and so on?  If so try this------------click and hold on one of them and then drag it right or left and you will see what happens.  Release the mouse.  Is the column now in a different spot?

Re: Comcast e-mail inbox

Yes, that is what I am talking about.  And, I have done what you suggest before, but it does not seem to be 100% effective.  I don't know why it works the 20th time, but not the first 19 times.

This problem arises when I try to re-size the columns.  Once in a while that meses up the column order.  I would like to find a way to make my column widths permanent.  That would eliminate the need to re-size the columns every time I open my e-mail.

Thanks very much for your help and for your concern.

Re: Comcast e-mail inbox

Next step-------try using a different browser.  I'm using Chrome right now on an iMac.  It might make a difference.
