Since last week I have been having problems getting to websites that I use often such as my Homeowners Association Website www.lidoisleshoa.com.
When I click the Site on my Favorite Toolbar or I manually type in the site in the URL directly I get routed to https://activate.comcast.com/RoutingEngine/accountlookup.do
I use Microsoft Internet Explorer Browser
Can you please help me.
I have been trying to contact Comcast through Live Chat but all attempts show the following:
Connecting to Chat
Your chat will begin shortly.
and I do not get through to someone .

I finally figured it out this morning. Deleted all favorites, cleared the Cache/history and cookies in the Browser for all of the corrupted short cuts in the Favourites Tool Bar. Went on Explorer and deleted all the sort cuts there under the Favorites Folder and then re-established them again and that solved the problem. All working OK now.
I have had Comcast Quad Play which included Home security for many years. Home Security was added about two years ago so this was a strange occurrence when some of these short cuts took me to the Comcast Activation Site.

That usually means your Comcast internet account is not set up correctly. Please contact one of their reps, report the message to them, and have them fix it. Call them at the phone number on your bill or 1-800-Comcast, or chat with them at https://www.comcastsupport.com/chatentry/.
Does it happen with another browser like Google Chrome or Firefox ?
For the Halibut, try clearing the cache / history / cookies in the IE browser.

This would not have been due to an incorrect account setup so many years after I've had this account.
I finally figured it out this morning. Deleted all favorites, cleared the Cache/history and cookies in the Browser for all of the corrupted short cuts in the Favourites Tool Bar. Went on Explorer and deleted all the sort cuts there under the Favorites Folder and then re-established them again and that solved the problem. All working OK now.
On another billing issue your url to the Chat site was very helpful. The link for Live Chat under Support on the Comcast Site when you sign in does not work so they need to fix that.
After resolving the billing issue I answered the Survey and advised Comcast of that non functioning Live Chat link so hopefully they get that fixed soon.
