Can I use a current Comcast email for a new account?

Can I use a current Comcast email for a new account?

My parents have been Comcast customers for years and because of that I currently have a Comcast email address. However, I am moving out and am setting up my own account but I would really like to use the address I already have. I've been using it for years and would really like to keep it seeing as I am remaining a Comcast customer. Is there I way to transfer the email from my parents account to my own so i don't have to create an entirely new email address when I register my account?

Call into Comcast and ask that direct question....  usually, you must give up the email address/username for 90 days.... then it can reused but hopefully you will get an unsderstanding CSR who can direct you.

You would need to have the change coordinated when you set up your new account.

The Primary on your parents account must give permission for the move at the same time.

When ready call 1-800 comcast and explain to them what you want to do.

Do you use XfinityConnect? The Full or Lite version?
Do you use an email client? Which one? (Eg; Windows Live mail, Outlook, a smartphone etc.)
Which browser/version do you use? And- have you cleared your browser cache?
Which operating system? XP, Vista, Windows 7, Mac OS X
Details of the problem you are having.
