From within the Comcast Email client, open the Preferences tab, choose the Email icon and ensure you have enabled Spam Filtering.
While you are there, you can also create Email filters to block Spam with a variety of specifications.
Your most drastic option in preventing unwanted email from reaching you would be to create an Email Safe List of email addresses, mailing lists, and domain names that you want to receive messages from. When enabled, ONLY email sent from those on the Safe List will be received, all other emails will be filtered out and will not be delivered.
Your best option to prevent spam is to protect your Comcast email address in the first place. Don't use it for everyday email activities. Create throwaway accounts at Gmail.com or https://www.mailinator.com/ or https://www.guerrillamail.com/ for example. https://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/best-sites-for-creating-a-disposable-email-address/
I've had a $1,500+ charge 2 weeks ago and continuous "phishing" emails come to my account. Can I block this user? I receive 4/day. All I am doing now is trashing it or putting it in the SPAM folder. Thanks
The only way a filter would work is if the sender always uses the same email address, which spammers typically don't do. They change them constantly. Keep marking them as spam when they get to the Inbox. You can report phishing scams here--------------------
