Been receiving spam for quite a while

Been receiving spam for quite a while

Hello,

I've been reporting spam and junk mail faithfully for a long time, via Webmail and to missed-spam@comcast.net through my email client and it doesn't seem to be getting resolved. I know it takes a while to "learn" and track the spam, but this seems like it is taking a bit too long. At least a couple of weeks, maybe longer than that.

Any suggestions?

Thank you.

Re: Been receiving spam for quite a while

There's not a lot you can do beyond marking spam as such, and reporting it as you have been.  Two weeks is a pretty short time span in the world of junk mail.  Once your email address starts circulating on the internet there's no way to take it back.  You should find this interesting------------------------------

Thanks for the links. Very interesting but kind of discouraging too.

Re: Been receiving spam for quite a while

That's just the reality of the internet.  There is no way to keep someone from sending you an email.  You can only try to deal with it once it gets to your account or email provider.  I don't think I get more than one or two junk mails a month in any of my 5 Comcast accounts right now.  My Yahoo account is another story.  I get about 40-60 a day in that one.  Their spam filters are really good and they catch almost all of them, but still, I have to go through them to make sure nothing legitimate got dumped into the spam folder.  That does happen once in a while.  I've also learned that apparantly there are more pharmacies in Canada than people.

Just sayin
