Auto delete of e mail

Is there a way to auto delete e mail after a certain amount of time?

How can I easily delete a huge (40,000+) backlog of unread e mails?

Thank you.

Re: Auto delete of e mail

Yes, you can set all the folders to a particular time period.  From the Inbox page, go to Preferences>>>>>>Email>>>>>>>Email Deletion Schedules.  That's where you can set them.  For example, if you set the Inbox to 30 days, I'm assuming it will delete anything older than that.  I've never had more than a couple of hundred myself.  It's not a good idea to keep stuff in the Inbox for long term storage.
