An e-mail thread with my boss deleted itself from my inbox.

An e-mail thread with my boss deleted itself from my inbox.

An e-mail thread with my boss deleted itself from my inbox. My e-mail is set to never delete automatically and I did not manually delete any of the messages. However, the entire thread is gone; in fact, all e-mails to and from my boss from the past month are gone.

Did you check the Trash folder to see if they are there?

As a precaution I would change your password to something stronger than whatever it is right now, and also change your secret question and answer. Suddenly vanishing emails is a common sign of a malware infection, or a compromised account. Run a complete scan of your machine with your A/V software to see if it finds anything wrong.

I did check my trash. I also checked to see if I could recover any deleted e-mails, but there were none available.

Then I would call Comcast security and ask them to look at your account.  They might also be able to recover your messages.
