Adding an e-mail address to a "safe" list

How do I add an e-mail address to a "safe" list?  I often have trouble receiving e-mail from friends who live in Germany.  Recently a school in Germany tried to send an attachment.  I didn't receive the e-mail, nor did it show up in my spam folder. This is a big problem since I will be attending a 2-week course there in the fall!   Help!

Please edit your message to remove the email address you posted. If you don't, your message will probably be deleted. The forums are public and it isn't safe to post personal information here. It's also against forum rules (see http://forums.xfinity.com/t5/Forum-Community/Forums-Policy-and-Guidelines/m-p/2618379#M1).

To edit, log in to the Forums and, while viewing your message, click Options, Edit Message.

The Safe List doen't work the way you probably want it to. If you turn it on, you would need to add every address you receive mail from or ever expect to receive mail from. Mail from any address not on the list will be rejected.

Comcast Security Assurance might be able to explain why the sender's messages aren't getting through. Give them a call at 1-888-565-4329 (from http://constantguard.comcast.net/help/report-abuse/). Note that this is NOT one of the general customer service numbers.

The first-line reps there are sometimes not very helpful. If so, be persistent, and keep at them until you get a satisfactory answer.
