Potential hard drive failure

Potential hard drive failure

My desktop PC is 7 years old. If my hard drive suddenly failed, would I lose my Comcast/Xfinity phone service ?Could I still access internet on my iPad via WiFi ? I, of course, know I could not use the desktop PC

My voice & data modem is ARRIS TG 1682G which I lease from Xfinity. It connects to my PC via thernet port

Re: Potential hard drive failure

Your personal equipment quitting has no affect on the modem working, should continue as normal.

Re: Potential hard drive failure

Thanks. I was under the apparently mistaken impression that if my PC failed , the ethernet port would not wokr and therefore the modem would not function. I am glad I was wrong
