Issue Porting from Vonage

I've read a number of similar messages, but none quite describe my situation -

I've had my home phone number for more than 10 years.  I was originally assigned it by Centurylink, whom I believe "owns" it.  I ported it to Vonage in 2010.  This week I've signed up for a bundle from Comcast and I'm trying to port it there.  When I've called Comcast, I'm told the rate center on my old number is not correct for my location.  My old number is (434)589-XXXX, which is Palmyra, VA according to everything I've been able to find online.  My temporary number from Comcast is (434)510-XXXX, which is also Palmyra, VA.  The Comcast reps have told me the database they use to determine eligibility states the rate center for my old number is "RCF-PORT".  They don't seem to be able to answer how it could have changed from Palmyra, VA, which I assume it must have been when I was first assigned the number by Centurylink.  I've called Vonage, but so far no traction on that side either.  I'd appreciate any suggestions.

gamartin, if the rate center for your vonage number isn't within the same rate center of your current account, we won't be able to port the number over.

ComcastKenF, I understand that, which is the reason for my post.  What I'm trying to figure out is if this can be corrected as I believe my number once was and still should be within the rate center where I live (Palmyra, VA).

@comcastella was able to successfully complete the port with the information provided via PM.  Stayed with the issue until it was satisfactorily resolved...excellent customer service!
