i  have no  dial tone and can not make any calls

Are you a new voice customer or one where the voice service has worked before?

 

Does your TV/internet services work or not?

Call into comcast, they can help..

If you EVER have any issues call 1-800-266-2278 and tell them. They want to help just call

Assuming you have their *in house* Digital Voice Service and it's corresponding telephony type modem / eMTA, try resetting it by using the recessed reset button on the rear. You'll need something like a bent paper clip or a pen tip. Depress and hold it in until you see the front panel indicator lights begin to cycle, then release. Now give the eMTA the time it needs to re-sync. Any joy ?

Er, the OP said that they could not make any calls.  So how can they call into Comcast???

They would use a cell phone or a neighbors phone.  They can also use live chat.
