voicemail indicator

voicemail indicator

All the phones in my house indicate that I have a voicemail in the Comcast voice mailbox.  I listened to it and deleted it, yet my phones still say that I have voicemail.  I logged in and double-checked and I have no voicemails.  Is there a reason for this?  Can I somehow send a reset signal to clear anything that makes my phones think there's a voicemail?  Thanks.

Re: voicemail indicator

Hello,

Here are a couple of things you can try which may help.

1. Pick up the handset and place back down.

2. Call that number and leave a message and then try to delete it.

3. Unplug the telephone cord in back of the modem and wait awhile and then plug it back in.

When I had the same thing happen numbers 1 and 3 did not work.  Others have reported the same issue and I'm sure they tried number 1 and it did not work for them. If it had they would not have posted about the issue. The voice mail indicator you hear is something within the Comcast system and really has nothing to do with your phone.

What did work was #2.
